EAR CANDLING

Our ears are connected to all the organs of our bodies. Reflexology, acupressure, and acupuncture charts confirm this and demonstrate that ear candling supports the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.

Ear candling originated in the ancient civilizations thousands of years ago for healing and spiritual purification.

The procedure releases ear wax, toxins and debris from the ear canal. In so doing, pressure on the nerve endings and the meridians of the body is reduced. The practice also induces a deep relaxation, contributing to spiritual cleansing. Through the gentle warm smoke and vacuum of a burning candle, ear candling simply promotes the process of cleaning and healing, and offers a natural alternative to chemical solutions and other methods of ear candling.

With a blend of herbal extracts and essential oils ear candling helps to soothe allergies and nerves restoring fullness in breath.

The procedure usually requires a commitment of one session a week for a month, to ensure complete drawing out of debris. The therapist lights the large end of the candle, and places the small end into the ear canal. Once a seal is created, vapors of herbal smoke travel into the ear canal, warming the pores and softening the ear wax. The heat creates a vacuum which pulls infection, debris, and ear wax into the cone.

You will notice, in the beginning, that very little wax comes out; this is due to blocked pores. As you continue the process, you will notice an increase in volume. This will continue for about three weeks until the volume of ear wax begins to subside. At that point the ear candling process can be reduced to once a month for maintenance.

Ingredients in the ear cones include bees wax, cotton, eucalyptus, cedarwood, patchouly, mugwort, lavender, oregano, sage, peppermint, tea tree oil, and clove.
