My mother is an artist, and when I made the decision to call my ministry "FeatherTouch", she painted this for me. It is a watercolor that I use as my logo. The original hangs in my salon.
Feel free to take a moment to come up with any witticisms you find appropriate concerning my name; I'm used to it.
I work diligently at not living up to this label. Historians would tell you that the original Doomsayers were actually leprechauns. I have even been told that I chose this name simply to transcend it. And lastly (perhaps my all -time favorite) someone suggested, that I greet the world with "Do Ohms". I really like that one. Nevertheless, even though I am involved in healing work, I will ask that you not refer to me as "Dr. Dooms"-- Despite the previous statements, it still has a bit of a negative connotation, don't you think?
I am an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, and recently completed my Doctorate in Metaphysics. I have no desire to dictate to you what you should put into your "God-box"; the decision is yours and I respect that.
Having a minister's credentials does not entitle me to convince you to trade your own truth for mine......
Not being one to keep much to myself, I also teach everything that I practice in my FeatherTouch healing sessions including Reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy, chakra balancing, crystal healing ,polarity, etc.
I am able to do this long distance, and have many, many times.
So now that we have gotten away from the "Dr. Dooms" title, you may choose to call me "Most Reverend", or if you aren't comfortable with that, "Princess of Enlightenment", or even-my all-time favorite: "Goddess".
I use a few sacred feathers in my healing treatments at times, in the Shamanic tradition, however the primary role of the feathers in my life are of spiritual significance, and without their presence on my path, my path would have no direction.
